Working Together - The Bury Compact

What is It?

Amongst other things a “compact” is also a formal agreement between two or more parties. "Working Together" is a formal agreement between the public and third sectors in Bury. The agreement includes a number of statements that express principles and understandings that identify good partnership working.
”Working Together” is described in one main document and three supporting ones. These are:

  • "Working Together" - The Bury Compact - the main document
  • a code of practice covering funding,
  • a code of practice on partnership working
  • a dispute resolution process
