The Third Sector Assembly

What is it?

An assembly is “a group of people, especially one that meets regularly for a particular purpose ....  or more generally, the process of coming together, or the state of being together”.
The Bury Third Sector Assembly is a group of people who come together to strengthen the third sector’s position in Bury. The Assembly works to ensure:

  • Voices of the third sector are heard by the public sector.
  • The third sector is properly consulted by the public sector.
  • Third sector organisations work together and take collective action by sharing information, discussing issues and agreeing priorities.
