Support and Development Service

B3SDA are committed to supporting to all third sector organisations to deliver high quality services and to further develop strong governance and sustainability.

We deliver our support and development service in a number of ways. We provide information on our website, email support, deliever workshops and one to one meetings.

All organisations are offered an organisational health check and information on how they can strengthen their organisation. In addition to this we can offer a limited number of advice sessions to all organisations:

Some of the areas we provide development support for are:
• Setting up a new organisation
• Finding an appropriate legal structure
• Registering with the Charity Commission and/or becoming a Company Limited by Guarantee
• Searching for funders and applying for funding
• Understanding and developing outcomes
• Improving effectiveness, monitoring and evaluation
• Improving the governance of your organisation
• Tapping into a mix of income streams e.g. contracts, trading, and grants.
• Collaborative working
• Commissioning and Tendering
• Adopting policies and procedures.

In order to make best use of our time we do ask all organisations to commit to undertaking the actions agreed in-between meetings.
