Formed in 2008 the Forum has 28 member third sector organisations. These are drawn from local groups or organisation delivering a service to children and young people and their families.
There is a multi-layered partnership structure of the Trust and Safeguarding Board. There is a need to develop engagement and to continue formalise representation with the Trust.
If the third sector is to have effective representation then we need to be informed about the issues and need to be keep abreast of national and other relevant changes.
An open, well supported structured but flexible forum helps these developments particularly in supporting the smaller community and voluntary groups.
B3SDA has the commitment and the resources, to aid and support the development and growth of the Forum.
Commitment to be involved in the Forum would depend on each individual organisation/group. The flexibility in the Forum allows various levels of commitment and involvement along with effective communication routes to and from the Trust and Safeguarding Board arrangements.
