Bury Volunteer Service aims to promote volunteering and encourage people to get involved in local opportunities. It: Volunteering is about giving as much or as little time freely to help other people, the local community or the environment. As well as making a difference in your community it can be a great way of meeting new people, learning new skills and putting existing ones to a good cause! Anyone can volunteer and everyone has something to offer! Volunteers are not paid for the work that they do, although they should be reimbursed for any out of pocket expenses incurred whilst volunteering.
